The Fostering Task
Foster Carers are expected to provide foster care in line with the National Minimum Standards. Standards 6 – 14 are particularly relevant. Homestead has incorporated the National Minimum Standards in its own document, Homestead Standards for Foster Carers. This is signed by foster carers as part of the Homestead Foster Care Agreement and included in the Foster Carers Handbook.

The fostering task will vary according to the type of placement and the needs of the individual children/young people.
